When you speak about Scotland and you miss Scotch it is like missing the soul from the body. Scotch Whiskey has to be thoroughly Scottish in order to have the honor of claiming that title! And that means that it needs to be produced (distilled) and matured in Scotland, and nowhere else. The Scots are so proud, and protective of their wonderful creation that they have international protection of the term ‘Scotch’. True Scotch Whisky reflects the land of it’s birthplace, and the people who created it, in many ways.

For the Scotch lovers; Scotland’s Malt Whisky Trail is a dream come true and it is the only trail of its kind in the world. Scotland’s distilleries come in all shapes and sizes, from large ones with innovative displays and interactive exhibits explaining the process, to small ones which have preserved their distilling techniques and secrets since the 18th century. Discover Scotland’s five whisky regions, learn all about our phenomenal national drink and try a taster or two along the way.

If you are willing embark on a Scotch trail around Scotland be prepared to explore Scotland with the angels high in spirits. Depending on how many days you can do; you can pick from the five whisky regions. You can undertake Speyside trail. Set in the heart of stunning Speyside, this trail takes in seven world-famous working distilleries, one historic distillery and the fascinating Speyside Cooperage. Speyside is famous for its wonderful whisky and is often called ‘Malt Whisky Country’. It’s home to more than half of Scotland’s malt whisky distilleries, making it the ideal place to discover more about this ancient art.
